Civil Structural Engineer

The work schedule will be onsite in the firms’ offices and its work sites in Brooklyn, New York.

The ideal candidate must possess a green card or be of citizenship.

This position will be paying a fulltime salary of $140,000 - $150,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.

The firm is seeking a highly skilled Civil Structural Engineer with seven to ten years of experience delivering innovative and code-compliant solutions across the New York City Metropolitan area. The ideal candidate should bring a strong expertise in analysis, design, and detailing for a wide range of building types, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

The ideal professional should be proficient in either AutoCAD, Revit, or advanced software with either (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD. Ro, Tekla), with a proven ability to create accurate construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models. He / She should possess in-depth knowledge of New York City Building Codes, DOB regulations, zoning requirements, and national standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, AASHTO), ensuring designs are compliant, safe, and efficient.

With extensive experience collaborating with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors he / she should excel at coordinating multidisciplinary teams, reviewing shop drawings and RFIs, and conducting on-site inspections to verify construction quality. The ideal background should include new construction, renovations, and retrofits projects, with a strong focus on structural integrity, cost-effectiveness, and constructability.

Key strengths for this role include:

Expertise in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber design

Strong understanding of high-rise, foundation, and superstructure systems

Experience with DOB filing, Local Law compliance, and special inspections

Ability to optimize designs for safety, sustainability, and project efficiency

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
